Ryu Kyu Kempo is a traditional form of karate, with origins in the southern Japanese island of Okinawa. Ed Emrich, a 5th degree, Master Level black belt, operates a highly respected karate program affiliated with Dillman Karate International, an organization of over 150 schools worldwide, with an enrollment of well over 15,000 students.
Mr. Emrich emphasizes traditional Ryu Kyu Kempo Karate movements utilizing Pressure Points. Small classes offer plenty of one on one Master-student contact. Whether you're looking for physical fitness, better flexibility, increased self-confidence or self-defense, this program has something to offer you. Adult Classes run 90 minutes and offer a complete warm-up period, background and philosophy behind karate, basic and advanced self-defense techniques, and opportunities to spar in a safe environment. Instruction in perfecting basic and advanced kata sequences is emphasized. Kata is a traditional training method utilizing a logical sequence of pressure point attacks in response to an aggressor.

Youth Classes run 60 minutes and offer a brief warm-up period, age-appropriate instruction in the discipline and respect aspects of karate, basic kata sequences, basic movements, opportunities to spar in a safe and well supervised environment, and emphasize fun learning with games and activities.
